Whiteside Computer Services have provided Internet Access for their customers since 1997. In fact we started this service before many of the well known providers in the market place today. Our original service called PW Net is still in use by some people who do not require broadband services.

We now provide our own branded Broadband service via our PW Connect service, but we also like to offer our customers alternative products from other suppliers because we feel that no single service can cater for every users particular needs.  We are an agent for Nildram products who are one of the top three Internet Service Providers in the UK.

Each service has it's own particular benefits to the customer, and only the customer can decide what is best suited to their needs. Although there is very little difference in price between the two services we offer, there is a difference in the support offered to end users.

With our own PW Connect service, technical support is handled by ourselves, as a result you get friendly service from staff who speak your language and are based in your area.  When you ring us, you tell us who you are and what the problem is.  You don't have to go through endless verification routines, give us passwords, etc.  You just give us your name and we do the rest. Technical support from us is available 9.00am-5.30pm Monday to Friday.

The alternative is to use Nildram, technical support is handled via Nildram. Once again it is a UK technical support team. They will ask for account details and verify your details before assisting you. They have a very good technical support team and are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Neither PW Connect or Nildram offer a 'Free' modem or 'Free' connection. The reason for this is that the prices are very competitive and we do not tie our customers down to a minimum 1 year contract in order to claw the money back for the 'Free' equipment! 

We also find that many people want to use equipment which is different to that supplied by these providers, many people like to share the connection between multiple PC's and require a router for this. You then have to go and buy a router and the free modem is of no use whatsoever.
